Funny Friday 1.25.13

Happy Friday! We had a great day around the Biddle House because Grandma and Grandpa Biddle drove in for the day for a visit! It was great having them in for the day - but sadly they had to head back home today too. Anyways, here is our Funny Friday for the day, and I wanted to feature two of our little furry babies!

Here we have Madilyn in her bouncer having fun - but making sure to keep her eye on Wooter! 

And here we have Carter bouncing on Daddy while keeping his eye on The Meow. He gets SO excited when he sees the kitties around the house during the day!

Funny Friday -- 1.18.13

Looking through my iPhone tonight -- and found a few of my recent favorites. Most are silly, but some are just sweet! :) Hope you enjoy!

Eight months old!

So, let me preface this with... Yes, I know I am way late in getting this posted. Like, by two weeks. But, in my defense, Madilyn has been sick for almost two weeks with a cold and Carter picked up a little bit of it from her.. So we have been busy to say the least! Anyways -- Madilyn and Carter are eight months old. (As of now, they are more like, eight and a half months, but...). Here's what's going on in their worlds!

Madilyn:

*Madilyn has 5 teeth that have come in, and it looks like there is at least another one up top that is about to come in. She has three on top and two on bottom.

*She does not like being on her back for long - even when we change her diaper. She is especially unhappy and squirmy after her bath and we are trying to put on her diaper. Although, we used to get her dressed on our bed, and now we use the floor, and she seems to be happier that way.

*Madilyn is quite the crawler, and gets around either doing the army crawl or by being on her hands and knees.

*She LOVES to stand. We have a "cage" in the living room to keep them in a contained play area, and she scales the walls of the cage. She even stands up in her crib when she gets up in the morning, and sometimes if we go in the middle of the night. I'm sure she'll want to start walking in the near future!

Carter:

*Carter has 4 teeth. He has his two bottom, and his two top are still growing. It looks like he has two top teeth that are about to break through very soon - you can see just the tiniest bit of white.

*He likes to grab onto his diaper velcro once it is on and pull on it as you're changing his diaper. And he looks at you while he's doing it like -- maybe they won't notice what I'm doing!

*He can go from his hands and knees to sitting on his bottom. He goes in reverse to get there, but he does it pretty successfully every time. That is, unless there is something behind him and he ends up trying to sit on it! We often find him sitting up in his crib once he wakes up from his nap!

*He isn't really "crawling" yet.. He still likes to roll around to get most places, and sometimes his reverse sitting up helps him move too.

*He loves to bang his toys together to see what kind of noise they will make.

Both:

*Can get into sitting positions without assistance

*Love to put things in their mouths!

*Really love their finger foods - aka cheeto/cherrio type snacks.

*Love all of their new toys they got for Christmas - especially the ones where you can put things in and take things out.

*Know what Mommy and Daddy's cell phones look like, and want to play with them!

We go to the doctor for their 9 month check up in just about three weeks. I hope to post a few things in between then -- but wow! 9 months!!! :)

Christmas in Bridge City

After Christmas, our little family of four made a trip to Bridge City to celebrate the holidays with Rob's family. We went from December 27 to the 29th so it was a nice trip. The babies were spoiled with Christmas gifts and lots of hugs and kisses while we were there. Here are some pictures from our visit!

Christmas in Houston

So back when Rob and I found out we were pregnant, we decided we wanted to stay home for Christmas. We invited anyone who wanted to join us at our house, and my mom, sister Claire, and sister Catherine were able to make it to Houston a few days before Christmas to spend some time with us. I absolutely loved having them here with us, and I think the babies really enjoyed their visit as well. We (well, mainly my mom) cooked a yummy Christmas lunch. My Aunt Colette, Uncle Bill, Grand Aunt Jo, and Dad were able to join us for the meal as well so our house was full of people! After eating, we all gathered in the living room and opened presents. It was a lot of fun having everyone at our house for a change. Mom, Claire, and Catherine left the next morning to drive back to Lubbock. We were sad to see them go, but can't wait to have them come visit again! Here are a few pictures from their visit and celebrating Christmas!
